Guarantees

Before work begins

  • Sinclair Windows will try to make sure that all the professional advice you need on the project if it is a large or complex project. This may involve getting the support of architects, surveyors or other specialist professionals.
  • Sinclair Windows will never quote on a project for which he has insufficient time or is otherwise unsuited to undertake.
  • Sinclair Windows will ensure that he has sufficient insurance cover for the contract.
  • Sinclair Windows written contract will state the following: the price, what is and what isn't included in the price, what form of agreement will be used between you.
  • The contract will state the following: how long the job will take, when the job can start, whether the work is covered by an insurance backed warranty, together with details of any such cover. Payment terms. Alternatively, Sinclair Windows may quote a day work rate and provide a copy of standard terms and conditions.

Whilst work is in progress

  • Sinclair Windows will proceed with the work according to the agreement between you, and will brief you regularly on progress.
  • If there are unavoidable problems or delays you will be informed of these as early as possible.
  • Sinclair Windows will supply you with samples of all the materials and fittings for prior approval.
  • If there are changes to the work specified or extra costs, these will be confirmed in writing, and agreed with you before such work begins.
  • Sinclair Windows and his employees will at all times treat you and your property with respect and ensure that the working site remains in a safe and healthy environment.

When work is complete

  • Sinclair Windows will leave the site clean and tidy and ready for use.
  • Any relevant operating instructions and guarantees will be handed over to you, and you will be properly briefed about any relevant maintenance or operating issues.
  • A date will be arranged for Sinclair Windows to return and deal with any defects which may have arisen during the first few months.

Only a registered builder offers Warranty

Our Guarantee Conditions

This guarantee is effective only after full payment of the contract price has been made to Sinclair Windows Ltd.

1. We guarantee our window profile for a period of 10 years, double glazed units and ironmongery (excluding letterplates and exterior handles) for 5 years.

2. Where we supply goods not of our manufacture (hardware, locking systems etc.) and these goods develop a fault due to defective materials or construction, we will repair or replace at our discretion provided we receive written notice during the original manufacturers guarantee period.

3. Where we have undertaken building work as part of the contract using our own labourer or through a Contractor approved by us such building work will be carried out with care and will be subject to a guarantee of ten years.

4. We guarantee to repair at our discretion or replace free of charge any Sinclair product which develops a fault due to defective materials, manufacture or construction, provided we receive written details of the fault within the relative guarantee period.

5. This guarantee applies to the person named above and the property identified and is transferable to new owners following a Sinclair survey and payment of the appropriate fee.

6. Timber windows must be given one further protective coating within one week of fitting, weather permitting, or as soon after fitting as reasonably possible.

7. PVC u and timber windows must be properly maintained by the customer on a regular basis. Misuse or adjustments by anyone not qualified to do so will invalidate this guarantee.
